Sorry to respond so late to your comment on my (Naughyniko) Christian Nation Forum.
I am a member of the American Atheists O.C. chapter (ocatheists.com) that meets at IHOP across from John Wayne airport and they are looking for Orange County cities such as Wesminster to protest.
As for why christers claim the U.S. is a Christian Nation, I heard Paul Levesque, professor at Cal State Fullerton, address that question at yesterday's American United for Separation of Church and State, O.C. (au-oc.org) meeting at the Irvine Ranch Water District. He said that they confuse what the Pilgrims and Quakers did when founding their colonies with what the founders of the nation-state did. So there are founders and there are founders, they're just a bit vague about which founders they are talking about.
